Executive Positions:

As there was no competition for open PAC positions, they were awarded by acclimation. For up to date listing of PAC positions please see the the Executive Members page.

2019-2020 Budget:

The question of available technology at Nootka has been raised again. Principal confirmed there is no formal plan by the VSB to provide funding for technology. In order to rebuild the computer lab and purchase iPads and laptops the PAC would need to raise significant funds through new fundraising efforts, or use legacy funds from playground fundraising. Ms. Muzyka and Ms. Appleby will come to the February meeting (February 11, 6:30pm) to present on school technology needs and costs. Please come express your opinion and help us with this important decision!

In general the PAC needs more fundraising, ideally a fundraising committee or people to bring forth fundraising ideas and volunteer time to coordinate. Please contact nootkapac@gmail.com if you are able to help.

Playground:

The playground at Nootka was installed due to the large fundraising efforts from the PAC and school community. There are legacy funds left over from that. Some of the equipment needs to be fixed or updated. PAC approved the use of legacy funds to paint the large bin in the gravel field and to fix the musical instruments. Musical instruments will not be fixed if broken again.
