Hot Lunch:

• Coming Oct 5
• About 100 kids getting hot lunch
• 11:20 parents arrive, food already here, sort by class
• 11:45 students arrive, deliver food to classes
• Need more trays for more divisions
• Don’t touch anything in PAC fridge, there are VSB lunches if students need them
• 1 more volunteer consistently there all the time, extra guidance to kids, w/ sorting & distributing, 30-45 minutes, Tues and Thurs
• Could students help more?
• What about supervision aides?
• Lori to get list of VSB approved vendors

2019-2020 Budget:

• Legacy Funds: $27,000
• Operational: $4,700
• Expenses: $17,000-20,000
• Will get ~$9k from gaming grant and hopefully ~$5-7k from back to school fundraiser

Tech/Legacy Funds:

• $20,000ish to get full computer lab/cart iPads and laptops
• Lori to find out about money from VSB

Playground/Legacy Funds:

• Damaged musical instruments – Can we get supplier to fix? Can we move them back to more open position (less chance of vandalism)? Is there any money from VSB for this maintenance? Can we get a grant for this?
• Storage box – Can we repaint? $3,000ish to repaint? Do we want to do this?

New School Changes:

Doors:

• Recess/lunch hour behavior in hallways
• Site safety/security
• Exterior doors closed except for inside U
• A, B, C

Shortened Recess:

• 5 minutes shorter to adjust to instructional hours, teacher prep time
• Lori to send email re: new changes
• District wide change

Play First Lunch:

• Lori had at last school
• Helped with hot lunch
• Helped with kids eating, not rushing to play
• Controversy over kids being too hungry before play time (but they can take food out with them to play time?)
• Lori taking proposition to staff committee
